Profusely illustrated with 165 black & white and colour photographs taken in and around Tokyo by Karol Kállay, including stunning photo-illustrated endpapers. Texts by Otto Mann and Wsjewolod Owtschinnikow. The title translates to Metropolis on Shaky ground, perhaps a duel reference both to the region's geo-thermic activity and the two countries opposing political and global stances. Condition: Near Fine in Very Good Jacket. Jacket shows some wear to edges and minor chip to top edge. Colours very bright, and cover is now in protective jacket. Boards and pages show some minor dust soiling to edges, interior is very clean and bright with tight binding.
