Alain Resnais, french film director, made these images as 'sketches' to record potential film locations. Reperages, a volume of Resnais photographs, taken between 1948 and 1971, of locations in London, Scotland, Paris, Nevers, Lyon, New York and Hiroshima. Introductory text written by Jorge Semprun.
Some of the photographs relate to a long-cherished but unfulfilled idea for a film based on the Harry Dickson stories by Jean Ray. Listed in Parr/Badger volume 3.
