In Krymskaja Fotomanija or Photomania in Crimea Boris Mikhailov presents a cross fading of human bodies and the costal landscape of the Crimean peninsula. The original maquette for the book was made in 1995 by Boris Mikhailov, compiled of roughly made silver gelatin prints. The book presents the memory of a former way of life under the Soviet system. It is suffused with a sense of natural freedom, in which the naked body and the location enter into a state of harmonious union.
