Continuation of the volume "Berlin yesterday - today - tomorrow", in which above all the destruction of the Second World War was depicted. On the other hand, the present "representative picture work" reveals "the planned construction and cheerful optimism" in the reconstruction of East Berlin.- The pictures from various agencies as well as from Donath, Hensky, Ittenbach, Kesting, Puhlmann, etc. The three- or four-sided panorama panels show the Open-air stage of the "pioneer republic Ernst Thälmann" in the Wuhlheide as well as the Stalinallee.
