Walter Rosenblum Born in 1919 and a student of Paul Strand, Lewis Hine, and Sid Grossman, Walter Rosenblum has been photographing people and events since before World War II. This volume reproduces 140 images in a retrospective look at Rosenblum's long career. Included are pieces from his series on Pitt Street (1938), the Spanish Civil War, World War II, the Gaspeacute; Peninsula (1949), 105th Street (1952), Haiti (1958-59), and Europe (1973). There are also texts in both English and German: a tribute by Shelley Rice and a history of social documentary photography by Rosenblum's wife, Naomi.
